What is Percentage change?

A percentage change is essentially a way of expressing a change in a variable. It describes the relative change between the new value and old value. The application of it is very wide. For instance, the percentage change of annual profit, the percentage change of velocity and the percentage error. A positive result means an increase quantity of the percentaage value and a negative result represents the decrease quantity of the percentage value.
