Editorial Policy
This policy explains how we create, check and maintain the calculators and articles on CalculatorDB.
Choosing formulas
Every calculator is based on a published, widely accepted method. Where several methods exist (for example, ideal body weight or one-rep max) we show more than one and name each, rather than presenting a single figure as definitive. Unit conversions use exact international definitions.
Testing
Before publishing, each calculator is tested against worked examples from textbooks, official sources or independent calculations, including edge cases such as zero interest rates, very short or long terms, and invalid inputs. Input validation prevents impossible values (such as a negative loan term or a temperature below absolute zero) from producing results.
Explanations
Each calculator page states the formula used, describes the inputs, and highlights assumptions that affect results, such as whether taxes or insurance are included. Articles are reviewed for accuracy and updated when underlying rules change.
Independence and advertising
CalculatorDB is supported by display advertising served by Google AdSense. Advertisers have no influence over our calculators, formulas or articles, and we do not accept payment to change results or recommend specific products.
Corrections
If you believe a result or statement is wrong, email info@calculatordb.com. We review reports promptly, fix confirmed errors, and update the page.
